Nikora Tamati Williams, born on September 18, 2004, is being remembered as a deeply loved son, devoted partner, proud father, loyal brother, cherished cousin, and true friend. Loved ones describe him as someone with a beautiful smile, a larger-than-life personality, and a cheeky laugh that could light up any room. Many say you could often hear Nikora coming before you saw him, a reflection of the joyful energy he carried everywhere he went.
A proud descendant of Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Rongowhakaata, Ngāti Porou, Ngāpuhi, and Te Arawa, Nikora’s loss is being deeply felt across communities throughout New Zealand.
Family members shared that Nikora’s greatest love was for his partner, Passion, and his beloved daughter, Wairere, who remained at the center of his world. His whānau expressed that while his passing leaves an enormous emptiness in their lives, his love, memory, and spirit will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
Funeral arrangements released by Tipene Funerals state that Nikora will lie at 33 Tyndall Street, Waiwhetū, where family and friends are welcome to gather and pay their respects during scheduled visiting times on Wednesday and Thursday. A special poroporoaki will also take place Thursday evening, giving loved ones an opportunity to share stories, memories, and farewell their beloved boy together.
A funeral service honoring Nikora’s life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Tipene Funeral Home on Kenepuru Drive in Porirua, followed by a private cremation service for immediate whānau.
