Family, friends, and loved ones across British Columbia are honoring and remembering the life of Raman Gill, a deeply cherished daughter, sister, and friend whose memory continues to inspire all who knew and loved her.
In a heartfelt tribute shared on what would have been her 30th birthday, loved ones described Raman as “an irreplaceable soul” whose kindness, compassion, and beautiful spirit left a lasting impact on everyone around her. Those closest to her expressed gratitude for the privilege of knowing and being loved by her, noting that words could never fully capture the essence of who she was.
Raman was remembered not only for her warmth and love for others, but also for the values she carried throughout her life. She believed deeply in gratitude, kindness, and using one’s time in the world to do good for others. Her legacy of compassion continues to shine through the people she inspired and the lives she touched.
To honor her memory and celebrate the life she lived, family and friends dedicated a Seva Day in her name — a reflection of the generosity and selflessness she embodied every day. One meaningful place close to Raman’s heart was the Seva Food Bank, where she often volunteered and gave back to those in need during the holiday season.
Loved ones shared that even in grief, they choose to carry her memory forward through acts of kindness and service to others, believing that doing good in the world is the best way to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
“It is said that grief is the price we pay for love,” the tribute read, “and so we wear this grief like a badge of honour.”
Friends and family continue to remember Raman for her loving heart, radiant spirit, and the joy she brought into every room she entered. Her absence is deeply felt, but her influence and memory remain alive through the compassion and love she inspired in others.
As those who knew Raman reflect on her life and legacy, they do so with immense love, gratitude, and remembrance.
Raman Gill will be forever cherished, deeply missed, and always remembered.
Happy Heavenly Birthday, Raman.
May she rest in eternal peace.
